Me

I've been listening to music all my life. My parents were, obviously, largely responsible for what I was exposed to. As an infant I was rocked to sleep every night to Billy Joel. One particular evening my mom suggested that Dad try something new. He did. I cried. Billy was back on and I was on my way to dreamland. I've been reminded of this story  time and time again. My mother picked impeccable timing to bring this up in front of others. Always.

Age 2 - 3
Music has always been my thing. I guess it's almost impossible not to be. While living at home with my parents I remember countless occasions R.E.M.'s "Leave" shook the walls.I loved it. The louder the better. Thankfully , this was a common theme growing up in our house.

The intro (the first minute) is quite deceiving...

Some of my favourite artists include: David Bowie, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Roxxy Music, The Smiths/Morrissey, New Order, Bruce Springsteen, The Cult....

  1. You're just a super star. I was more into punk and rock growing up, lots of heavy metal and noise. You sure do carry your happy vibe even in your writing. It's unmistakably you.

  3. Great post Sara, I am a huge lover of music, although you have a few years on me, your taste in music isn't far from my own. Although i like a little more variety, simply anything 80's, most of the 90's and 2000's, but i always revert back to my 80's music... cant wait to see what your next post has to offer!!!

  4. Excellent subject choice, music is one of the few positive things we all have in common as a society. I'm sure we've all had a moment when we hear a specific song and are instantly taken back to a memory. Love those moments!
